Ollie Beavan

Clinical Director

Oliver Beavan is a registered Operating Department Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience in theatres and more than a decade leading NHS resuscitation services. A course director for EPALS, ALS, and GIC, and non-medical director for APLS, Ollie is an experienced educator and published author with a passion for paediatric and adult resuscitation.


Through AORTA, he delivers evidence-based, scenario-driven training that builds confidence and sharpens clinical judgement. All first aid courses are nationally accredited by Qualsafe and Ofqual-recognised, while resuscitation programmes are registered with RCUK or ALSG and internationally recognised—ensuring every skill taught is trusted, practical, and ready for real-world practice.

A highly experienced and dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN) with over 35 years of comprehensive experience in the healthcare sector. Throughout a distinguished career, has developed extensive expertise across anaesthetics, scrub, recovery, clinical
skills training and Resuscitation delivering excellence in both acute and educational settings.


Known for a commitment to patient safety, professional development, and high standards of care, has successfully bridged the gap between clinical practice and education. Skilled in delivering engaging and evidence-based training to multidisciplinary teams, with a proven ability to mentor and inspire healthcare professionals at all levels. Delivering First Aid, Basic Life Support, intermediate and advanced Resuscitation training courses.
