1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

AORTA Training is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government policy and PPN 06/21 requirements. This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out our current emissions position and the measures we will take to reduce our environmental impact.

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

AORTA Training is a small, service-based organisation. Our baseline emissions are therefore low. The baseline year for reporting is 2025.

3. Current Emissions Reporting

Current emissions remain consistent with the baseline due to the nature of AORTA’s activities. There have been no material increases in Scope 1 or 2 emissions.4

4. Carbon Reduction Measures

  • Minimising travel by delivering training locally or on-site wherever possible.
  • Use of virtual meetings and electronic documentation to reduce travel and paper use.
  • Selection of venues with appropriate environmental and sustainability practices.
  • Efficient scheduling of courses to minimise repeat travel.
  • Use of energy-efficient equipment and responsible procurement.
  • Regular review of travel and operational practices to identify further reduction opportunities.

5. Governance and Review

Responsibility for environmental management and carbon reduction sits with the organisation’s leadership. This Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed annually and updated to reflect changes in activity, guidance, or organisational growth.

6. Declaration and Sign-Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the associated reporting guidance.
